My side of a dialogue from few days ago...

Advising - On speaking about a past affair to a girlfriend:

"you have to tell a toned-down version of it. But remember, if she can't accept even the toned-down version of the truth... she ain't right for you. Tell her that you like sports... don't tell you had played Basketball! Talk to your ex beforehand... Make a deal on what is to be told... Then that becomes the new truth, your ex will be more than glad to cover up that old shit for ever. Ignore what others are saying... their accusations now is just an exaggeration - tell her that they're just regular adults who make stuff up to fill in for information that they don't have. Use that exact line... if your girl is smart, she'll get the point."

"Remember, you're just cleaning up age old shit. just feel lucky that you're having to deal with just a bushfire and not an inferno! dude... never give more info than needed! That's exactly where you mess up! If you tell too long winded a story it indicates that you're lying... so keep it pithy and simple... and BELIEVE it, you yourself must forget that it was anything more than a silly kiss. Wipe the rest from your brain! You did nothing! as I said - erase! The ghosts will keep chasing until you erase from your own head! Delete the offending material - shift del... and replace the file with the updated version! Now off you go... enough consultation for one night, anymore and I start charging you fees by the minute."
