I'm writing this entry because I want to keep a log of true conversations with myself (not like the last one I assure...) and anyone who enters and enriches the thread of thoughts...
I hereby open the comment stream of this blog entry as a free-for-all... and if you're reading this, I insist you leave your mark (attention fellow males... I mean 'in writing'). I personally intend to use it to the fullest extent!

15 Attacks:
Let me start by saying what an oddly complacent generation we all are... And how amazingly we fool ourselves! We know more than we should and we do almost nothing - and then call that our contribution! Our own definitions of good and bad are so gray that we don't dare scrutinize them! It's frightening!
I tell you to stop fooling yourselves... Can I stop fooling myself?
Doing that would be a nice starting point.
I know... But it's the global social/political/economical/ideological flow that I'll have to swim against just to accept what is going on here... It's tough!
But isn't that exactly what I've been doing all along? So why find it so tough lately?
Well, life is but the mirror of death, and between the two, there is only scorched earth...
We're just trodding along, the way we know best. Make no mistake buddy, happiness and the absurd are two sons of the same earth. When Sophocles' Oedipus, at the end of everything, spoke out : "Despite so many ordeals...I conclude that all is well"...he was the victor. He had conquered fate, and the world alongside. So did Kirilov, so did Sisyphus...And thereby, as good old Shakespeare would have said, hangs a tale...
P.S. I'm deleting my previous comment which seems redundant
It's the journey that matters, isn't it? Conclusions are easy mistresses, Processes are a hard wife!
So lucky we are to have a medium which lets us delete redundancy! I spend half of my life deleting redundancies from life and they still keep popping up here and there!
the basic mistake on our part lies in trying to record everything. our brains are designed to forget. we don't let it, by recording the events externally and reproducing the stimuli as and when required.
This is progress and this is exactly the reason our lives have become so clustered. All we have to do is know, and not forget .
We must work towards developing technologies that let us forget things. This I believe will scrutinize a lot of problems.
When you see a beautiful sight, you are supposed to imprint it on your brain, which in few days will fade away. In stead if you take a photograph, and you think you and your fellow humans will enjoy the same beauty for a longer period of time, the beauty is actually lost.
At this point my ideas are not very clear about what I am trying to convey. But, I hope I am making sense.
Exactly! The process of memory is like applying Discrete Cosine Transform over progressively larger and larger blocks of the farther and farther past and let the pure essence of it stay. And here we are trying to keep bitmaps of everything... I hear you bro! In fact our minds are steadily becoming like the libraries of rich men... Amazingly stocked but hardly read!
ROFL! Smackin' analogy of DCT! Memory does smooth over time. That's why remembrance is so sweet. But is that fair? Doesn't it hinder judgment? I think having a perfect memory in hardcopy would make for better judgment.
Actually it does not, anon. Because the subconscious works at a far greater level than the conscious, out first impressions are very correct to the core and thus re analysis by the conscious can lead to imperfect logic and thus imperfect judgment. Isn't that possible?
I agree.
Here is an example. So my roomie has got a girlfriend physically away from him. Now , he chats with her daily, and REPEATS READING THE CHATS AGAIN AND AGAIN..!! Thus, every expression from the other side has a greater impact than they should have normally.
This case portrays an extreme case, where the effects are clearly visible. But same thing happens when you play a guitar instrumental from heart. If you record it, it again has impact on the brain , more than it should have.
Human brain should be allowed to gather new information , by deleting the old. If you get struck to the old, due to the limited capacity of brain cells, obvious happens. CLUSTER..!!
Let's not interfere in it's normal working. LET'S NOT.
Actually, media storage is a boon, allowing information to stored for reference... not re-re-re-re-re-re-review! Oh and the girlfriend-chat-obsession? I know what you're talking about... gives me the creeps!
